| Lyrics: | Oh lord, I been fighting since day one, day one Oh lord, I been fighting since day one, day one I said oh Lord, I’ve been fighting since day one Nobody but me, takin’ these fighters as they come Tried learnin’ the game but somehow I stayed dumb But I’ll do it all again, it don’t matter where they from Yeah raised me, fed me, bathed me Caught me every time that I tripped, this place made me Watched me, taught me, fought hard, the boxing Is small compared to all of the darkness that I’m crossing but like, hey, one day we will see sun Brighter than all this darkness around, we stay on And when everybody else is down, we stay up We fight harder than most, nobody can take us Ya that x hold it down for all the rest When I’m sparring with the struggles of life, I stay blessed like… Proper, gotcha, a world full of mobsters But I stay good with mine till the whole world prospers Oh lord, I been fighting since day one Keepin’ it all 100 till that glory day comes ya Oh lord, been fighting since day one Day one. I said Oh lord, I been fighting since day one Keepin’ it all 100 till that glory day comes That glory day comes That glory day comes But the mean streets of x are brutal, ruthless Gotta keep ya hands up, don’t wanna get boosted Gotta keep ya eyes up, don’t wanna get spoofed And then left on the side of the road by some new kid Always gotta fight, ya life is what the cost is And you can’t get it back once you lost it, we got this Gotta stay marchin’ ahead of the world’s problems Become just like an army, ain’t a way that you can stop it And then the thunder goes, the rain stops Look up at the sky, clouds part, here in the same spot And then the sun’ll come out and you’ll see the day And know that we will be ok Hey we have faced large struggles at big prices Fightin’ for every thing that we have, it ain’t right but I do it for all the people I love, it’s just life and in the end, I know we’ll be alright, ya Repeat Chorus And then the sun’ll come out and you’ll see the day And know that we will be ok…I said |

Said Dave: "I enjoy making a living making music as there is something always new to learn. If you know one instrument, you can learn another. If you know how to engineer one style, you can always learn another. My main question I ask myself when writing and making music is "what gives you goosebumps". The mechanics of songwriting and engineering can get quite technical, however at the end of the day its what makes you feel something."
