Stock Music track: Autumn Mist (A Ericson)

A slow and mellow, melancholic, but warm and heartening piece with acoustic piano, subtle strings and 'oooh' type vocals. Soft, ambient, emotive, sincere. [Note: The recording contains some 'ticks' which may appear to some as sound artifacts or 'noise'. These sounds are actually the physical, mechanical hammers inside the upright piano on which this was played. This is an all natural, all organic, no-computers, no-electronics recording and this in itself brings some sound 'imperfections'.]

About the Artist
J. A. Ericson J. A. Ericson

Alexander John Ericson, a.k.a. "J. A. Ericson", is a Swedish musician living and working in Berlin.

His latest album "Songs From The White Sea" marked the culmination of a number of personal journeys, from his native Sweden, via London, to Berlin where he now lives and from a background in electronica (The Northern Territories), via rock with his brother’s band Alberta Cross, to a very personal blend of songwriting that draws on all these experiences.

Taking a distinctly European approach to his craft, which both recalls and updates influences such as P.J. Harvey, Jacques Brel, David Bowie and Brian Eno’s collaborations.

The BBC Music on "Songs From The White Sea":

"Quiet may have ceased being the new loud, but this demonstrates that Ericson is a welcome addition to the school of soft, reflective troubadours. It is an album that consistently doesn’t do what you think it’s going to, and frequently delights. BBC Music / Music Week Panel

Alexander John Ericson's music has also been featured in various film and tv shows, and he has composed music for more than ten short films.

He's now busy recording a debut album with his latest project My Empire Of Sound, as well as composing and producing music exclusively for the Shockwave-Sound.com stock music library.
