Lyrics: Take me back to when it wasn’t so hard to live
When the hell did I grow up and why do I need this
I just wanna stay up late and do nothing every night
Gonna do what I want, that’s what feels right
Take it slow, turn it down, take a drink, walk around
Making sure I haven’t lost what I’ve found

But the clock is turning, so I should be learning
That it’s time to move on

Doubt that you could stop us now
Run my mouth till it hits the ground
And I won’t get down cause my luck will last for days

I need to discover how to make my days unnumbered but how
There isn’t any time to wait, I’ve got to do this now

But the clock is turning so, so I should be learning
That it’s time to move on

Doubt that you could stop us now
Run my mouth till it hits the ground
And I won’t get down cause my luck will last for days
Stand tall with feet flat on the floor
Nothing in my way once more
And I won’t get down cause my luck will last for days

Falling for no one, stopping for nothing, I can’t bear the mistake
I’m building a wall, so nobody can get in and there’s nothing they could take
Remember the useless nights and the pointless fights
Where my friends were all I needed
But times have changed, but times have changed
And everything is rearranged

Doubt that you could stop us now
Run my mouth till it hits the ground
And I won’t get down cause my luck will last for days
Stand tall with feet flat on the floor
Nothing in my way once more
And I won’t get down cause my luck will last for days

About the Artist
The Role Call The Role Call

Hailing from Minneapolis, MN and gaining recognition fast since their birth in 2012, The Role Call is a pop rock quintet that is determined to be heard. After working with producers Jordan Schmidt (All Time Low, Motion City Soundtrack, Paradise Fears) and Pat Brown (Sing It Loud), the band put out their debut self-titled EP late spring of 2012. Following the release of their debut EP, The Role Call went on to embark on their first tour, as well as connecting with fans by playing private living room shows. After spending time on the road as well as gaining some recognition from the music scene, The Role Call decided it was time to put out new music. They decided to work with producer Jordan Schmidt again to release their follow-up EP titled “Like I Do” late spring of 2013. Motivated and nothing short of charismatic, each member is both creative and determined to keep the band on its feet and pushing towards the spotlight. Keep an eye out for The Role Call to see when they will be coming through your city.
