Right By Your Side (Acoustic)
This is an upbeat song with a pop rock/country vibe. The catchy hook on guitar helps support the positive message. The lyrics are about sticking it out through the thick and thin of marriage.

|Lyrics:||What ever happened to the long walks by the ocean and feelings growing stronger with each and every passing day |
All the distractions and the start to complicate
They seep through the cracks then they expand and I’m about to break
She turned my way and looked me straight in the eye
Said you made a promise that the rest of your life
You would be there through the good times and bad
Don’t give up on that fight
Cause we’ve got hope and we’ve got love
and it’ll shine on through the rain
Now I know that times are tough but that don’t mean a thing
Well I really don’t know where we’re going but we’ll make it if we try
You have everything you need right by your side
What ever happened to the long nights by candle light
where we made love and felt like giving selflessly
We used to be more like a fairytale
But now I find myself questioning everything
Can we be happy and is this meant to be?

My name is Brooke Gerhart and I’m a Alternative/Country artist based out of Nashville, TN. I grew up in northeast Pennsylvania and started playing several instruments at a young age. At 16, I bought my first drum kit, taught myself to play them, and started my first band.
After a few years and a few bands, I felt a stronger calling to branch on my own project as a singer and pour my heart into a solo career with a bigger purpose. In December of 2010, I released my first full-length album as a solo artist.
In February of 2013, I released “Ode to India” which was an acoustic album inspired by a mission trip to Bangalore, India.
My musical goals have learned to lose their time frames and expectations...I realize I’m not the one in control of all this, but I know now that I’m doing exactly what I was made for. I now strive to leave a legacy of love through whatever music or art I release.
Thanks for being a part of it.
