Here's a wonderful collection of music influenced by the sound of the 1920's through 1940's USA. Touching on jazz, blues, gospel and ragtime, these tracks will get your toes tapping!
These tracks are of course highly useful for historical productions, documentaries, dramas and comedies set in the Prohibition era USA. But beyond that, these tracks will work well in many types of contemporary productions including advertising, games and apps, animations etc.
All tracks feature live performances and tend to use a lot of piano, drums, upright bass, trumpet, trombone and banjo.
The band pictured on the album artwork is not the actual band playing this music. That's just a public domain photo of a band called the Owls from New Orleans, the photo was taken in 1922. The music on this collection was for the most part composed and played for us by our very own Jeremy Sherman, of whom we have an in-depth article / interview here, for those who want to know more about the composer.
Each track are available in various versions / mixes / edits / loops. All in all this collection contains 55 music files (from 10 different main compositions).
The price of the music collection includes a license to use the music commercially and in public, as per our License.
Formats: The download is a 231 MB .zip file containing non-looping tracks as true CD-quality MP3 files (320-kbps, 44.1 khz) and the seamless loops in WAV files (16-bit, 44.1 khz). The physical disc is a DVD-ROM for PC or Mac, containing all the tracks and loops uncompressed WAV files, at both 24-bit (High Definition) and at 16-bit/44.1-khz (CD quality). Total ~2 GB.
Please note that the DVD-ROM is a disc for use in PC or Mac computers, with computer files on it. It is not an Audio-CD, and does not work in a stereo/hi-fi system, your car CD player etc. However, you can copy the WAV files to your hard drive, and then use those WAV files to burn an Audio-CD in your own CD/DVD-burner.
