Keith Salmon is a classically trained composer, arranger and conductor. He gained his first degree, with a distinction in composition for his "Passion Cantata", from Strathclyde University in 1995. In 1998, he gained his PHD from the same university for three compositions, namely:
1. An Easter Oratorio (the second composition in his trilogy about the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 2. The title music "Sara" to a children's television programme. 3. The music to Dorian Gray - the Musical.
Prior to and during his academic studies, Keith took private lessons from the following people: 1. Orchestration � Professor John Howard � a leading pupil of Karlheinz Stockhausen. 2. Composition � Derek Hudson � a leading pupil of John Howard. 3. 20th Century Harmony and Counterpoint � Professor Christopher Slater, 4. Aural training � Dr.Rod Ward and other people over a 10-year period. 5. Composition, harmony and counterpoint � Neil Butterworth. 6. Conducting � Valeri Vatchev.
He has extensive experience as a conductor and music producer, working with teams in Eastern Europe to record or remaster the well-known classical works.List all tracks by this composer |
